Fee Schedule for The Purring Parrot

Veterinary trips $30 an hour.

Subcutaneous fluids $10 per treatment with owner's supplies

Blood glucose testing with owner's meter $2 per treatment

Prices are subject to change without notice. We will not adjust fees during your pets stay. Some items may be seasonal.

CATS
Standard suites for 1-2 cats are $44 per night for the first cat and $16 for the second cat per night.
Extra large suites for 3-6 cats are $68 per night for up to three cats and $14 for each additional cat per night.
If you would like one of the larger suites for 1-2 cats then the cost is a minimum of $68 per night.

A 10% discount off of boarding is offered for first time clients.

For returning clients: A standard size suite staying 10 nights or longer, we offer a 5% discount for up to 2 cats. So, the discounted rates are $41.80 for 1 cat or $57.00 for 2 cats per night.

Prices include daily feedings, playtime, brushing or just hanging out times. Twice daily housekeeping. Reverse-osmosis water with water fountains, house food (listed below), relaxing music, bird watching, scratching posts/scratchers and climbing ramps for exercise. Playtimes are always finished with a "playtime treat" of catnip, if allowed. We also provide lots of interactive toys as well as comfy handmade blankets/ beds for kitty lounging.

For shy kitties we can provide places to hideout in their suites as well as a door cover for extra privacy. Email updates and a take home daily diary are also included. Adminstration of simple medications at no charge unless kitty is fractious, then call to discuss.

****Also included: 24/7 Webcam viewing for each individual suite. Cat parents will be able to log on anytime day or night for unlimited viewing of their kitty. Web cams are equipped with nightvision and pan/tilt movement controlled by viewer. Cameras make no sound while moving so kitty doesn't know they are being watched unless they look right at it and see it move.***

Dry cat foods we provide in house at no charge include Science Diet indoor hairball, Purina indoor, Natural Balance indoor-chicken/salmon, Iams indoor-chicken and Blue Buffalo-Wilderness-chicken

Canned cat food we provide in house at no charge include a wide variety of Friskies and Fancy Feast. There is no charge to bring your own food.

Nail trims, if cats allow $10.
Application of Advantage $17 per cat if fleas found. Capstar for treated cats that still have fleas $12 per 24 hour dose.

Piddle Pads for kitties that may miss the box or a have behavioral urinary issues are $2/pad. It is recommended that you bring your own piddle pads which will save on this fee. If your cat is a veritcal sprayer than we are unable to board them.

Lysine $1 per feeding.

Feliway Comfort Zone Plug for the extra stressed kitty $2/day. Works very well for cats that are extremely shy or stressed.

BIRDS
Tiny birds such as finches, canaries, budgies, etc are $11 per bird per night.

Small birds such as love birds, Bourke’s, parrotlets, etc are $14 per bird per night.

Small-Medium birds such as cockatiels, green, yellow sided conures, maroon belly conures etc are $17 per bird per night.

Medium birds such as senegals, meyers, sun or jenday conure, indian ring neck, caiques, cherry head or blue crown etc are $20 per bird per night

Medium-large birds such as african and timnah greys, mini macaws, goffins, amazons, eclectus, golden conures etc. are $23 per bird per night.

Large Birds such as blue/gold macaws, military macaws, scarlet macaws, umbrellas, etc. are $26 per bird per night. 12/20/23 We have put a hold on accepting new umbrella and moluccan cockatoos

Extra Large Birds such as greenwing macaws, catalina macaws, hyacinth, moluccans etc. $28 per bird per night. 12/20/23 We have put a hold on accepting new umbrella and moluccan cockatoos

Prices include twice daily feedings, "out of cage" most of the day*** or communal interaction. Reverse-Osmosis water, daily feedings that will include house blend of pellets, seed-nut mix, seasonal fresh fruit and veggies, cooked grains, sprouts and birdie muffins. Twice daily housekeeping, email/ voicemail updates. Bathing bowl or misting.We also offer a Bedtime warmed mush treat of banana and sweet potato that is spoon fed each night and birds LOVE IT!

****If your bird likes likes to explore away from their stand or cage, visit other birds, flies from cage/stands or wants to reconstruct the aviary then they must stay in a cage for safety reasons.

If you forget to bring your bird some toys we have a large variety to purchase for their stay or give us a toy budget and we can create toys for your bird.

Extra amenities for birds:
Vegetable chew and destroy foraging toys, such as bell pepper kabobs filled with treats or a big bunch of greens to shred ($10) or fruit k-bob $3 each.
Elaborate wood chew and destroy toy prices range from $5-$60 each.

We cater to each individual bird guest's personality to make sure they have the best time possible while staying with us. Space is limited so book early.

Reservations, Deposit and Cancellation Policy

A credit card is required to make a reservation. Please see below for our cancellation policy.

Payment is required for stays of 14 nights or longer at check in and billed out every 2 weeks thereafter. If payment does not go through and the pet parent is unreachable, the emergency contact will be asked to pick up the pet to stay elsewhere.

Please notify us 48 hours in advance if you need to cancel your reservation. Otherwise there is a 25% cancellation fee for the number of days booked. Our 48 hour cancellation policy only applies before your cat/bird has checked in and the entire reservation is cancelled.

***If you return home early payment is due in full for the dates reserved and no refund or credit will be issued.***

*****If you check in later than the original reservation date, without notifying us 48 hours prior to drop off, then you will be charged the full price from original check in date.

Peak Holidays:
Memorial Day weekend, Fourth of July week, Labor Day weekend, Thanksgiving week, and Christmas week.
Please notify us 10 days in advance if you need to cancel your reservation. Otherwise there is a 25% cancellation fee for the number of days booked. Our 10 day cancellation policy only applies before your cat/bird has checked in and the entire reservation is cancelled. If you check in later than the original reservation date, without notifying us 10 days prior to drop off, then you will be charged the full price from original check in date.

For Dec 20-27 the minimum number of nights to book is 5 nights.

After one cancellation without any notification, such as not showing up for check‐in, all future boarding reservations will require a 50% non‐refundable deposit.
If you return home early payment is due in full for the dates reserved and no refund or credit will be issued. Please cancel well in advance so others may be able to book with The Purring Parrot.

Rates may change with no notice. Rates will not change during your pets stay.
